About Us

In the Beginning:

We are a law firm in Mississauga and have been practicing general law for over 31 years. Michael Day began his legal career as an articling student in a sole practioner’s office in Streetsville in 1979.  Mona Cederberg graduated from Ryerson University with her Bachelor of Applied Arts in 1981 and began working as Michael Day's assistant in the same year. As the practice grew, the firm developed a strong reputation for effective advocacy and good counsel.   David Borg has recently joined the firm as a partner and this has enhanced our ability to meet the ongoing needs of our clientele.  We have over the years established  a proven and tested record for assisting our clients through difficult and often complex issues and matters.

The Growing Years:

In 1982 Michael Day branched out on his own. He continued to build his general law practice with a focus on Family Law,  Real Estate, Corporate and Wills and Estates while located at 57 Queen Street in the town of Streetsville. Mona completed her Law Clerk’s Certificate through the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario and worked with Mr. Day with the addition of legal secretaries, Real Estate Clerk, Receptionist and part time bookkeeper.  By investing  long hours and hard work into the practice, their reputations steadily grew as they began to develop their skills and knowledge in the areas of Family Law, Real Estate, Corporate and Estates matters.  As our reputation grew, so did our client base and our need for more support staff which led to the need for more space and we relocated the practice to the south end of Streetsville at 265 Queen Street South.

Where We're At Now:

After relocating to 93 Queen Street South in Streetsville in 1994, the office of Michael Day has grown to its current size with seven support staff and recently the addition of another lawyer, David J. Borg. Since his arrival, David has proven himself to be a bright, knowledgeable and motivated professional that possesses the qualities of a good lawyer with a bright future. Like Michael Day, he takes a committed approach when dealing with his clients to ensure that their interests and issues are dealt with successfully and professionally.
